About Us
Westwood Evaluations offers five types of evaluations:
1. Academic Evaluation
2. Work-experience Evaluation
3. Combined academic and work-experience Evaluation
4. Evaluation of a Professional position
5. Expert Opinion Letter
Academic Evaluation
Academic Evaluations include the institutional experience of the candidate,
as well as transcripts with courses completed, diplomas or certificates, and the
degree equivalency received in the United States.
Work-experience Evaluation
Work-experience Evaluations include the candidate's professional experience, and
the degree equivalency received in the United States in accordance with the INS
regulation 8CFR214.2(h)(4)(iii)(DX)(5).
Positional Evaluations
Positional Evaluations analyze the job duties of a particular position and determine
it to be a “specialty occupation”. An expert evaluator will determine
whether or not the job duties of the position are so complex that only an individual
with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher could fill that position. In order to perform
such an evaluation, the employer must normally require a degree to work in that
position and the employee must have a Bachelor’s Degree in that specific field.
Expert Opinion Letters
Expert Opinion Letters assess the accomplishments of an individual in relation to
those of his peers, and others in the field. These letters are used to support cases
for extraordinary ability aliens, national interest waivers, outstanding researchers,
labor certifications, and O-1 classifications. Each letter is written by an expert
or professional in a given field, and is written to the specifications of the client.
-Our company uses university professors to evaluate and review the candidate's credentials,
be it academic, work-experience, or both, and determines the degree and acceptance
of the candidate to the United States.
-The standard completion time of an evaluation is three days. At that time, the
evaluation will be faxed and mailed back to the attorney. Additionally, express
mail service is available upon request only.
